Ok so some of you might remember me wanting a DD for like 2 years now. Well I finally am able to afford one and snagged this beauty on the 8th.

Its a '09 FX4(obviously). This is beast. 5.4 3v/6-speed trans. I absolutely love this truck. Since I've gotten my house I really see the need for a truck, and I'm tired of seeing the DD wear and tear on my baby (stang). It is need of a TOB in the worst way, so now it can live the good life in the garage when its nasty outside. Anyways guys, I just thought I'd post up since I've been complaining about wanting a daily for some time now.

Love it! Yeah, as you found out with a house having a truck is extremely helpful. Don't be suprised when friends and family, that have been preaching to you how ecofriendly their rides are and putting down trucks all this time, ask you to borrow the truck for convenience i.e. purchasing a new bbq grill or moving a couch etc....
There will always be a stang in the garage, a truck for towing and tough duties and a four door car for family duties in my stable.

sweet, its so much nicer when the stang can sit in the garage out of the sun, rain and poor weather, its fun waxing it when its pouring rain outside

Very sweet truck and youwent all out on teh options too! I love the new Ford trucks a whole lot. And even though its not mine I do have a truck here thats mandatory when owning a house. My house is old and needs constant attention and I am so glad to have a 5.4 Ford to go get it all.

After a few weeks you will be complaining about its mileage. Youwont break 20 in it even though Ford says it can. Expect 17 give or take. The 97 I have here gets about 14 but its lifted and on 35" tires.

Wow, thanks for the replies guys. Yea I've been wanting an FX4 for a while, and since my friend is a salesman, he got me a good deal. I know the mileage probably won't be the greatest, but I think I'll survive. Trucks are great, and I've always wanted one along with the stang.

Gorgeous! I saw the new F150's this year at Sebring on display, and love what they did to the interior especially! I switched from a truck to my Stang, and miss the ride the truck had and offroading especially. I'd love to get an F150 as a DD in the next few years though!

Yea with the last winter we had here (quite a bit of snow and an ice storm), I was in dire need of a truck. I'm well prepared now. Ha now I'll have something to show off to my "truck" buddies.

Quick question for you f150 guys. Since I am a dork and insist on joining online forums pertaining to what my hobbies are, are there any forums out there that I can get on to learn about these trucks? Something similar to ole' :SNSign:
