I have a 2007 GT/CS While I enjoy the 18"wheels, parchment interior, and blackout stripe, I am not that to enamored with the hood scoop.

The hood scoop is bolted on. Is there a big hole under that baby or can I just unbolt it and move on?

Also, the side scoops are 2x taped on right? Will I hurt anything just yanking them off?

i believe that the hood scoop will have holes where it is bolted down. the side scoops are more than likely douled sided taped on to the quarters.

i have never looked at the car in person so i cant tell you 100%.

You could go for a shaker package and that would (likely) take care of the holes.

I know somebody that might be interested in the side scoops if you take them off. PM me if you do.

The hood scoop has something like 12 holes in the hood and the side scoops each have 2 holes in the side plus double sided tape.

Geez I hope that's correct. I can't believe the side scoops are only held on by tape.
BTW, the hood scoop is not part of the CS package...You paid extra for that.

I have an 06 GT and I added the hood scoop and the side scoops. Each come with instructions and templates for drilling On the side scoops you have 2 clips that snap into the side of the quarter panel as well as double sided tape. The hood scoop I believe has 8 clips and 4 bolts.

The hood scoop is part of the GT appearance package, not the CS package.

I don't think so. I have heard that the Shaker system will not cover the holes.

Perhaps you needed to just buy a Regular Mustang GT then added the Front and Rear CS pieces. The CS has a certain style that you like or dislike but never buy something just to take items off you don't like, work the other way around.

Well it'd be pretty easy to find out. you could drop the hood liner and see where the bolts and holes are. I would be surprised if they didn't because when I saw the scoope at the auto show recently it didn't seem any larger than a shaker, especially when the trim ring is taken into account. Could certainly be wrong though. May be worth an E-mail to CDC to find out.

You don't even need to drop the hood liner...just open the hood. There are seven bolts, coming right through the liner. My scoop looks a lot bigger than the shaker scoop, so I don't believe getting the shaker will do you much good...the holes would still need to be filled.
