Hey guys, i finally replaced my intake with the aluminum one due to a crack. My question is, I installed a Napa 544080 180 deg thermostat and the temperature gauge is always right at middle between the H/C. Is the temp suppose to be colder? I can't remember but it seemed to be cooler with stock thermostat but not sure. Is the temp suppose to be right in the middle or cooler? I remember with my 91 5.0 when i put a 160 thermo it always sat near the "C". Please enlighten me. Thanks.

Unless you change ur fans to come on sooner then the lower temp won't do much for u in town. On the hwy u "might" see lower temps.

My temp gauge shows a lower temperature with the 180* I put in while installing the blower. That being said, those stock gauges aren't really "gauges" and shouldn't be relied on. Data log the coolant temperature if you want to know whether it made a difference.
