temp gauge

i have a 87 lx 50 is the middle line of the temp gauge normal????

Ha ha. Did you answer your own question?

In all seriousness, the stock gauge is too useless to interpret, no matter where it reads. E.g., mine sat right in the middle from 180-225*F. That aint nice.

Grab yourself a real gauge (even a parts store 10 dollar mech temp gauge) and you'll know what's up.

I beleive it starts at 130 and ends at 270... which means the middle is 200. That's a good temperature, but like said before- you can't trust it. Get a mechanical or digital guage and mount it on the a-pillar. Very easy to do

is the wiring easy to install on a digital gauge?????

very....just tap into the lights and then it just goes to the sender and ground....and ignition

How much trouble is it to mount one in one of them vent cages that sit in the middle of the dash? I thought about sticking a water temp and oil pressure gauge in there but didn't know if I had to take the dash apart to do it.
