I've been looking into the Shelby Terlingua mustang as a possible alternative to a Gt. My parent hear the words V8 and immediately close their pocketbooks while I would obviously prefer the GT has anybody had any experience with the Terlingua. I've done some searching and haven't seen to much on the subject. I'm looking at buying used so is it possible to buy a used V6 and send it to Shelby for the install or is it on new cars only?

any info or opinions yall can give me would be great.

Go for it!

If I had it to do ALL over again I would have started with a V6. I've watched that video countless times and just am in love with the idea of it. I'd prolly have done it piece by piece thou rather than dumping it on shelby

thanks for the info Apex but I'm not sure you posted the right link. That was of a guy going on a road trip to Terlingua Texas (great part of the state by the way) in a 2009 GT that he thought was an 08 hahaha

but seriously thanks for the info

do you know anything about pricing?
can you purchase the parts and install them yourself?
if not would they do it on a used mustang?
what years will it work for?

He eventually gets to drive a T in the vid. You could just order a paxton and get the work and tune done at a local speed shop. You could shop around and get should I say even nicer suspension components than what the T offers. Just depends on your budget. But figuring your parents are playing a factor in all this I'm assuming you on a budget.:D

ok I went back and it's just the video right after that.
looks great but as I expected I would just have to get the parts as I go rather than forking it all out at once for Shelby to do it for me. The parents say they need to see all B's in school to even consider the GT. I might end up buying a used GT and just paying it off over a year or two on my own instead of paying upfront cash with my parents help as I originally planned.

Does anybody know where you can get the parts individually?
