well technically, hes all right. mach 460 has its own small amp and small sub in the rear deck between the 2 speakers :nice:

All i knew of are the tweeters at the corner of the door/window, the speakers down by your feet and the four in the back. 2 being low frequency and the other 2 being high frequeny. so thats a total of 4 speakers total. Wheres the small amp and small sub at? Cause those bitches have go to be tiny...

i wonder if they changed it on the newer cars, my 97 has the tweeters and door speakers, 2 rear deck speakers and in the middle is a very small amp and like a 6" sub in an enclosure between the speakers on the rear deck. when i managed to hook up a system in there, i had to unplug the factory sub so it wouldnt hit all distorted and mess up the sound.

interesting, thats the first time i have ever heard of that

baller760, regarding gears, do the math by ratioing the gears, for instance going from 3.73 to 3.90 will increase your RPMs at the same speed by 3.90/3.73=1.046. Et cetera. Do the math for the 3.08 swap-out :E
$9,000 for a Coupe with 82k miles is about right.
Check your insurance rate before signing for the loan.

Husker, thanks for the link. What a great site! :nice:
(Dang, now I don't have an excuse for keeping those stock tweeters.)

when i wrecked my car, i was about to buy a 95 black cobra. It was for 8k and had 60k on the clock. Unfortunately, 4 things wouldve made my insurance rate go to an unheard of 4 THOUSAND dollars a year:
1. my male genitalia
2. Cobra badges
3. My wreck
4. My age

Just yanked my mach 460 crap out not too long ago, and the only speakers in the rear enclosure are a pair of 5x7's and two 1" mids. Never heard of a sub in one.

17YO..those are some crazy insurance prices. My 95 Cobra's actually about $25 per month cheaper than my 92 GT was.

My rates were cheaper on my 94 Gt then my 91 LX.

Probably because it has abs. I called for insurance on an 03 cobra and the quote I got was $6600 :nonono: All thoughts I had of getting a new car were turned off. I decided to keep my 12 sec fox instead :nice:

Yea, me too...I didn't see a sub in the rear deck, wouldn't imagine a 95, which is older than my car, would have one. I only had four speakers and four tweeters and three amps for my stock mach 460 sound. I believe the stock door speakers and rear deck speakers act as subwoofers, maybe that's why everyone is saying our cars have subs in em.
