I'm going to be getting some Thumper's this winter and was planning on getting the e-cam combo, but have also taken the tfs stg 1 into consideration. How is the idle with the stg 1? Is it emissions legal?

I'm in the same boat with 90lxdroptop, I was contemplating either the b cam or the tfs stage 1. I'm not sure if i personally am goin to go through the advance/retard route, because i should have my new motor in the works so i can fiddle with that.

thanks

I personally don't favor the letter cams, and the TFS has a larger lift on the exhaust, which I like. You shouldn't have any added problems with emissions. And it does idle well. A nice lope to it.

Scott B - No, neither. Soon hopefully. the the SOTP meter, I think I'm putting down around 280rwph, maybe 300 pushing it. How about you, numbers or times, and what is your combo?

I have Ported GT40s Irons, Stage 1 cam, TFS street heat upper, 1.6 RR, 65mm TB, Full exhaust. Few other things. I had it dyno'd last year, made 255/280 at the rear wheels. Found out my rings where shot and compression was 95psi! 30% leakdown!

So i just droppedin a rebuilt shortblock. Feels Good! Havent been able to really spin the motor up yet, but a quick third gear pull feels good!

Oh i got off a 13.8@98 last year too.
