I would like the know how the mustang does in the rain?

From what i have heard of the 94-03 mustangs, they sucked in the rain. I never drove one myself in the rain but people i know said they would get way too loose and its dangerous if you try anything even if you change a lane too fast.

I imagine the new one with the way it handles would do just fine but i would like to hear it from you all.

Thanks

I have been driving my 05 GT since purchased last November in Chicago Weather, rain and snow and this car handles very good in those conditions. Quite an improvement since my last GT (1988) which was not drivable in the snow and drive with caution in the rain. Don't forget it's still pushing 300 hp so adjust your driving style to match the weather conditions and you should be fine.

It's pretty predictable in slippery conditions, even with TCS off.

I'm with Red Pony, I can't comment on 94-03. I just know my 88 vert would turn loose without warning. I swapped ends a few times.

No problems here. I've gotten it sideways on a wet curve (intentional), easily regaining control. But if you're logical about driving a 300hp rwd car in poor conditions, it'll treat you just fine.

I have a 94 V6 with my 05 V6 and the verdict =

94 in rain =
05 in rain =

It felt like you were driving on ice whenever it rained and you were driving the 94 stang. The 05 feels like you are driving on a bone dry road!

I had a 94 GT. The brakes were not adequate to stop it at times.

My 05 SUX in rain, but its simply because of my lowprofile tires and racing rims... And dont even talk about snow to my pony cause I had it out ONCE in snow last year (2 inches of snow) and i got stuck before leaving my drive way!

mine melts in the rain.. but it's made entirely out of chocolate.

oh... thinking of easter bunnies again...

Actually, when I still had my stock tires on my V6, I thought the rain was a bit scary... always spinning. Now that I have the same Pirelli's as the GT, I feel far more confident. I let the rear get loose around a corner once... gave 'er a little gas and she fell right back into place.

This 05 GT is much better in the rain than prior stangs, but as will ANY high performance RWD car, too much throttle will kill the handling. Easy does it. If I know if will rain, snow, etc, I drive my AWD Audi ever time!

My gosh my 05 handled great in a bad storm the other day and huged the road with big puddles.
Next properly applied RainX lets you see everything in a rain storm.
