i used to not really like to look of the 05+ cars. never really appealed to me. and i had never seen any really nice ones.

but i went to a BIG car show saturday with thousands of cars and there was alot of NICE 05+ stang. chip foose's stang he did. new roushes, glassbacks and all the good ones.

they started to grow on me real bad. a nice GT with a nice wheel change and nice roush bumpers and etc really looks badass!

might have to get one someday lol

I don't hate em but I don't love em. They don't feel as ballsy, but they are nice quick cars.

I love the look of the new stangs. When I was thinking about getting one I test drove one and not to impressed with the power. I know its faster than the 5.0. Maybe becuase they are so smooth and new. My next stang is going to be a 03/04 cobra hands down.

they are faster but are a totally different engine and make their power up top and from what i have heard they sort of lack in the torquey feel dept. that the 5.0s excell in

call me crazy, but i like the looks of the v6 version myself better than the gt, wish you could have a v8 in a basic shell like you could with the fox been debating getting one for a dd for awhile, but then i remember i already have two vehicles and am trying to get a house by myself by the end of summer.

i like the styling of them...with some wheels they look great i just wasnt impressed sitting in it i felt cramp in the drivers seat and i was surprised becasue i thought my 94 had a clostorphobic feel to it but i hated sitting in that seat ....maybe something they can improve in the 09 stangs maybe give us a extra inch of travel in the seat tracks

Yeah, I agree with the V6 having better looks. The GT has an ugly spoiler (a ducktail spoiler or nothing at all would look nicer/cleaner), those hideous fog/driving lamp things are an eyesore, and I'm not to wild about any of the wheels except for the old-school Bullitt anthracite look-alike rims. (In fact, the base-trim V6 rims that have that next-gen Eleanor look going on are probably the best-looking wheels for the new 'Stangs, IMHO.) The appearance upgrade package for the V6 models that have the smaller fog/driving lamps in the center (which look more true to the old 60's Mustangs, and less tacky), the nice wheels, and the usual Mustang logo running under the door are pretty darn nice.

I dare say that, for the cheaper cost and for something as a nice daily driver, I'd almost prefer to have a V6 with a few bolt-ons than a GT. They're obviously not as fast, but they're no chump rides, either ... plus, the insurance is cheaper, and the gas mileage is a smidge better. Throw on a dual exhaust conversion, intake, and pullies, and then drive it 'till the wheels fall off.

I don't understand why so many people hate them. I love the new GT's. I think they are perfect. I would so buy one, lower it and slap some 20" bullitts on it and call it a day.

Only reason why i don't buiy one is because both my Mustangs are paid off and i like not having a payment.

I love the feel of the seats. 100% better than my 88. Im 6'2 and I felt it had a lot of room. My girl freinds 98 mustang is more cramp feel than mine. I would love to have one but like I said for the money (because there the same price as used 03/04 cobras) I would get a cobra.
