I'm so happy, I'm getting a TC!

I know it's not a stang, but it's still a 2.3T

Trying to sell my old vert (I can't afford 2 cars)

A black 1987 Thunderbird TurboCoupe 5 speed will be in my possession this weekend!

Woot!

Any suggestions on the first cheap/free mods to do would be awesome!

It's not a Mustang, it's much better

I dunno about "free" mods but THE BEST first cheap mod you can do is to ditch the stock airbox and put a cone filter on the VAM.

yep go with a 5.0 and run easy mid1 2's

do what I did with a 2.3 and run easy low 11's.

Oh dear... I distract!

Got the TC, fixed up a few problems. (Mechanic told me it would cost 500 or so to get it running smooth, and I did it with a $3 can of intake cleaner, a $30 TPS, and $30 for new plugs and wires)

Built a custom boost valve, put a cone filter, and now I'm running 17psi, and the most powerful car I've ever owned!

Wow this thing is fun! Most comfy car I've ever had, too, even if she looks a bit rough. (A fair amount of fender rust, but a very solid frame and drivetrain.)

First car that deserves a name, too.

My thunderbird feels so much more solid than my Mustang did, I'm sure you're noticing the same thing.

Welcome to the madness, it only gets worse from here.

BTW put an exhaust on that thing, you will love it! With the IHI it spools almost instantly.
