The black plastic between the windshield and hood

I'm pretty sure when you pull-off that weather stripping you'll see 4 or 5 of those screw-in plastic locking thingys (they look like push-in clips). I suppose if you yank on it hard enough they will pop-off. But yeah, I helped Aaron take the cowl cover off his car, took less than 3 minutes. And you just have to disconnect the bigger (main) washer fluid line underneath.

I just painted mine last week and it looks better than any "temporary" fix. I used some trim black paint from the parts store.

There is a few push lock screws under the hood, you'll need a stubby phillips to get to a couple. A flathead is needed if they are stuborn and just spin. After that, with wipers off as mentioned above, just gently pull it off. Slide your hand underneath until the next clips comes out and so on. don't be hasty, you'll snap it! No need to buy a new one though, I can repaint mine a hundred times over and still not spend as much as a new one!

Here's some pics of mine after the paint:

I repainted mine aswell hasn't chipped off yet. I cleaned them real good than used laquer thinner to get any grease off that the detergent left. I didn't remove mine. I just masked everything off real well. however i did remove the wipers. I used "krylon fusion for plastics" However the trim paint will prolly work better. I just had some left over after doing my tail lights.
