I guess I just don't get the whole point of this post....

Once upon a time, 4 years ago, you went faster than some girl driving a car built with her daddy's money? Doesn't make MY earth stand still.

While the E-brock name may be associated with that car, a quick search proves that they usually run in the back half of the pack, much like yourself. Frankly, it's a LONG list of folks who have beaten the "Fun team". The only hi-dollar parts I can see on the car are the ones their own company makes, which amounts to only shocks in the suspension department. I keep hearing TCP mentioned - are there even TCP parts on the car?

I'd be more impressed if you could point us to some recent credentials showing that your combination was faster than somebody else's "hi-dollar" combination.

Street guys being brainwashed by race-car setups is much the same as the supposed "magazine brainwashing" I keep hearing preached. What works for you on the track often does not make a competent, comfortable street setup. 95% of the crowd here is looking for streetwise performance. Let's not get started measuring "knowledge" by numbers of laps. Knowledge comes from understanding what the USER is trying to accomplish, why the parts are doing what they do, what needs to change, and why some changes work better than others. There are many levels of "good" modifications, some are just better than others FOR A SPECIFIC PURPOSE.

Granada brakes, for instance, have use in some applications, but not in others. I'd much rather see some REAL tech explaining their effect on Ackerman & bumpsteer, than self serving posts that start with "this is how to go fast, don't respond if you don't agree". That's kind of childish. When's the last time a magazine "brainwashed" people by explaining how to measure and correct bumpsteer?

If running laps 20 seconds off the pace (no matter how many) makes you a "suspension guru", I guess standing in the garage makes me a car... It isn't "what you do", but "how well you do it" that earns respect. I'd much rather collect my information from someone who has actually TRIED 5 different control arm setups, than someone who bolts a car together using already known technology, buys a helmet, and proclaims themself the expert.
