For anyone in the LA, OC or IE areas of Southern California, one of the few drag strips that we can run at is closing this weekend. LACR located in Palmdale CA is being torn down next week and is running the last weekend of raceing this weekend. Friday night there will be time only racing as well as some trophie racing. Saturday there will be more time only's as well as some trophie braket racing with some hot cars. Sunday will be the race for $1,000,000 and yet more time only.

This track was the first one that me and most of my friends drove down, and I have been racing there for the last 11 years.

You can find the race times, directions, as well as a weather link on there rather old school web site-----lacr.net-----

I hope to see some Stangs out there Friday night!

Truly a shame. Then they have the b--ls to say "Take it to the track". How can you take it to the track when they are closing one by one. Soon the only place left will be the street.

That is the sad truth.

We need local race ways in a big way.

The track is on land owned by the mine next to it, the mine is out of other land to dig up and wants the dirt under the track----so no more drag racing
