Found this on eBay

I don’t have another throttle body to swap throttle shafts and these are already done. Look good or no?

Still waiting on that Cobra intake @karthief

Weld looks a little sloppy, but not exactly a great pic. Should get the job done though

Yeah I’ll ask the seller for some more photos if possible. Will just need a throttle body that looks decent enough until I can find the real thing. Were these just cast aluminum, no paint?

If you haven't looked into MPS Auto Salvage I would recommend to give them a call for the pieces that you are looking for. I am lucky that they are local to me that I can just drive over there to get my parts. There website sucks, so call and ask for Billy.

It wouldn't surprise me if they have your parts still on the shelf.

Bolts should be able to be used from the GT40 to the Cobra intake correct? I know I’ll need a new upper to lower gasket, what about the TB gasket?

Looked into the TB, it’s an accufab, no idea what size though.

you can reuse the studs on your intake, I would put a small amount of antisize on the threads going into the intake, the tb gasket is hit or miss, I,d get one just in case,

Sounds good. I gotta figure out what size this TB is, I see no markings of any kind on it to tell me what size. Gonna have to borrow some dial calipers to find out.

No go on the intake studs. The GT-40 tubular uses an separate EGR spacer that is integrated into the cobra upper. So bolt lengths are different.

Gasket can be reused provided you are able to remove it intact. They usually stick and tear. Felpro 61082 will work with the 65mm TB.

Are you talking the 4 bolts for the TB?

Yes. They will be different between the GT40 and cobra. It will be pretty obvious when you have both intakes side by side.

The upper to lower gasket is the same for the tubular and the cobra intake. If yours is still ok I would use it again personally. Those gaskets don't usually get too beat up.

Wondering if I can find a new shifter boot for the hurst shifter with their shifter plate. I don’t like the way this fits the shifter and I don’t like the rubber accordion boot that comes with the shifter.

Looking at swapping the uppers.. reading about all the vacuum lines underneath and all the variances has me pretty confused. Is it just going to be a direct swap from the GT40 tubular to the Cobra? Is there any coolant lines under there? Remember, I’m a noob so this will be the first time for me. I’ve swapped many a carb and intake, but this is a little more involved it seems.

Also, thank you to everyone on here, this has been the most helpful forum I’ve been on. Helpful yet lots of sh** talk which is good for the soul.

Both @jrichker and @Mustang5L5 have great write ups on the gt40/Cobra intake swaps. But for the life of me,I can’t find either of those write ups at the moment

If you would have kept the tubular intake you wouldn’t of had to worry about any of that! Just a little talking man. I understand why your doing it!! Kind of.

That looks like a custom boot from redlinegoods.com.

Their shifter boots are pretty cheap, and you can customize it a bit and extend or shorten lenght. I have one of their boots and love it.
