How come no information on the new 5.0 yet? I thought Ford was going to anounce both the V6 and GT specs at the LA auto show. As of now all I see is the information on the new 6. Granted the show still has a week to go but I figure Ford would have wanted to anounce the 5.0 asap?

I guess I can wait until Monday . Its funny this is actualy the first time I'm also excited about the new V6 stang. With 305hp, 280 lbs tq, 30mpg, 6 speed auto and manual transmission at a price of probably around 21-22k, it is impressive for a v6 , plus on top of that the car weighs in at 3,400lbs.

Dosn't look like they are going to anounce it until the Detriot auto show in January.

Latest rumor has it at 412hp and 5.0L for the 2011 GT. Still none of the technical details I'm craving yet.

Yup, looks like the 2011 GT is going to be putting out 22hp more N/A then the 390hp F/I 03-04 Cobras. This is going to be one crazy stang. A car that can push over .95g on the skid pad with a live axle (both 2011 v6 and GT). Most IRS cars can't do that. Go ford......stick with the live axle and please never go back to an IRS. Mustang is a muscle car and it is killing everything on the road in its price range and then some. Its going to be awesome to see how the 305hp V6 compares to the GT (GT will probably weigh about 200lbs more then the 6).

Absolutly love them and the great thing about the HiTech stage IIs are that new valve springs are not required. So I'm running the stock springs. If I had an O/R Mid pipe I would be be around 300rwhp and if I didnt' have an automatic it she would probably be closer to 310rwhp and 320 lb tq.

No I had a guy in are club that builds stangs do it for me. He has done so many so it was easy for him. Though he says its not hard at all seeing as we didn't replace the valve springs.

Back to the topic

If it does end up with 412hp I wonder what the compression ratio is gonna be like. I can't imagine Ford doing anything too high.

It's 11:1. That was released like last year I believe.
