Nope. Forgot about it. So yeah - it's gotta come apart again. Easy fix though!

Another thing I thought of earlier - I've gotta do a little rewiring of the fan. I ended up eliminating the temperature sender for the fan when I installed the coolant tubes. It's not a horribly big deal since the ECU for the fuel injection has a controller built in, so it's just a matter of wiring that trigger wire to control the fan.

2 things that I found out the other day - I actually already wired the fan to the ECU, so that's taken care of. Once I figured that out, I started it to let it warm up to make sure I didn't wire the fan's power backward. Once it warmed up and the thermostat opened, the leak reappeared big time! Found out it's the heater hose, not the bolt! So I just ordered a new fitted hose for it - that should be here Saturday. If that fixes the leak (it damned well better! ), then I might actually try to take it out for a drive to see how it does again. If I can do that, I may try to record the drive....

I guess I haven't updated this.... I replaced that hose and the leak is gone. I did take it out for a super short drive - down to the end of my road and back home again - and it was acting like it wasn't getting fuel at times. So I brought it home and parked it again. I've not done much else with it since then until a few minutes ago. It's around 32 degrees, some snow on the ground, and it fired right up and idled with no issues for a while.

She's a menace! And she's had a hard life until my niece adopted her. I believe this was the first time she had been outside and seen snow - she didn't know what to do.

Thank you! It's still not bolted down. I want/need to add a "screen" to the opening and haven't gotten anything yet. I have this saved in my Amazon cart:

AggAuto Universal 40"x13" Car Grill Mesh - Aluminum Alloy Automotive Grille Insert Bumper Honeycomb Hole 6mm Spacing 1mm, One of the Most Multifunctional Shape Grids 100x33cm Black https://a.co/d/hufr4iK

I'll probably buy it and get to work on it in a couple months. I'm scheduled to close on my home equity loan this week, so I'll be concentrating on getting that garage built.

I spent a good part of my day yesterday replacing the gauges. I went from the 3 gauge pod to a 4 and cut a hole in the stock gauge panel for the new A/F gauge. As it is right now, the only things I have left to finish are replacing the screws in the dash and run the water temp sender into the engine bay and replace the old one that I cut since the gauge was broken. I'll have to contact Speedhut about their A/F gauge, it seems to be off by about 1 point compared to the fuel injection. Their instruction sheet is pretty basic, but I didn't see anything anywhere about having to do any kind of calibration.

Here's the new A/F gauge if anyone's interested. It's customizable as are the rest of their offerings.

2-1/16" Classic Air/Fuel Gauge Wide Band 10-20 (FOR SPARTAN)

I've been tossing the idea around of replacing ALL of the gauges....

AFR at idle is not that good, because there is little flow in the exhaust. Could be depending on the position in the exhaust, that there is an offset...
Thats why you should set your idle mixture screws not by AFR but with vacuum.

That is the fuel injection screen on the left with the AF gauge on the right. I wasn't trying to set anything, just looking at them as a comparison. Like I said, I'll see about contacting the vendor to see if there is a calibration protocol that needs to be used, but I'll also try to take it on a drive fairly soon to make sure everything is warmed up and to operating temperature and compare them at that time.

Just went out to check how my dash lighting works now. Looks like I need brighter bulbs for the original gauges now....

New bright LEDs. Apparently I was wrong, I didn't swap them for LEDs before, I guess I used green incandescents.

Now they all match a little better.

Thank you! Here's the Amazon link in case anyone wants to use these specific bulbs. I know there are a million different bulbs out there....
