The Night Halloween Died

My neighborhood is a ton of fund come the Holidays. Everyone is very festive and loves to see the kids having fun. I got a old timmer who we call Griswald ( Chevy chase charater who had all the lights on his house) who decerates in true Griswald fashion even on Halloween. The mini vans/SUVs pure into our streets like back when everyone found out Cailifornia had gold. It's not uncommon for each one of us to see a 100+ kids saying Trick or Treat. My wife gets her camara out to take pictures of the best costumes for the kids to keep forever.
That was the good ole days until Halloween fell on a Sunday Our town desided it was not a good idea for kids to be Trick or Treating on Sunday and even tried to orginize a Saturday Trick or Treat with little luck. As a result this year I could count on one hand how many kids I gave candy to. My wife had double me since I was busy watching Scoobydo the movie part 2 I guess the total of kids was between 10-20 at best. I can understand how one would come to the conclusion of Trick or Treating on Sunday may look bad but if Halloween is a questionable Holiday, than why do it at all Does doing bad stuff only on Monday through Saturday make it ok I'm not saying it's a bad Holiday and in truth I think it's a fun day for kids. I understand that it's a celerbration of the Harvest and not what most people think when you mention Halloween. But this doesn't mean that little kids can't dress up as their favorite Heros and go get some free candy.
Speaking of candy I will be auctioning off a huge supply of candy on Ebay since the parents choose for their kids not to get some candy I think I would have done better if I would have given each kid a bag of candy instead of a few pices.
