They look better than anyone expected. They would be 5-5 or 6-4 in the AFC though.

A guy took his blonde girlfriend to her first football game. They had
great seats right behind their team's bench. After the game, he asked her how she liked the experience.

"Oh, I really liked it," she replied, "especially the tight pants and all the big muscles, but I just couldn't understand why they were killing each other over 25 cents."

Dumbfounded, her date asked, "What do you mean?"

"Well, they flipped a coin, one team got it and then for the rest of the game, all they kept screaming was: 'Get the quarterback! Get the quarterback!' I'm like.....Hellooooooo? It's only 25 cents!!!!"

LOL, week 1 of this season was not the first time thye were taping. Good lord wake up

Everyone didnt think they cheated, they did cheat. It was proven by the league and both the coach and team were fined for it.

I know you guys are patriot fans but you can look outside your fan goggles to see the truth once in a while.

I dont blame the Pats for running it up, its not their fault other teams except Indy cant stop them. Hell Id rather the Colts coaches have more of that killer instinct.

Ok I have a couple things more to ask this cheating thing since you like to keep calling it that..

1. Is it legal in the NFL to videotape signals? This is a yes or no thing If you spin it into something else that means you have to dance around my question to try to keep your view valid.

1a. since it is STILL legal (to tape signals) then how was it cheating again? So is it tape from the first row of the stands = not cheating but tape just beyond that wall on the sidelines and it is???? That does not pass the logic test... Yes or no is that logical to you?

2. Since it is legal to tape them and keep a library of it and only this season did the NFL change the rule to not allow you to tape from the sidelines how was it cheating in previous seasons?

The patriots violated a NFL policy on videotaping from the sidelines. The reason for this rule is not very clear to me since you can tape the signals from anywhere EXCEPT the sidelines. The main reason ROAD teams taped from the sidelines was because the home team wisely did not allow the road teams to tape from good locations.

To be honest the only reason I think the penalty was so big on this is because Belichick was arrogant about doing it the first game after the memo and also because the media made such a big deal about it.

I am so sick of people saying they cheated with these tapes ( remember the rule, it's LEGAL to tape the signals and it still is legal today) Prove to me how they cheated, so far all you people in the pats cheated camp have proven is a rule violation on where you can tape.. Still wrong and they still should have been punished but not cheating.

Since the signal calls are changed from game to game and even half to half.. The singals from one game will not match the next even if you can figure out who the live caller is.. so How is it cheating to have these STILL legal tapes.. From what I heard the ones taped at foxboro in a legal location the pats still have... So I have to ask you is it cheating to hav ethese tapes at all?

Accusing somebody of cheating is a very serious thing, I think before that serious accusation is done there should be atleast SOME idea of how this material was used for cheating. I have seen some people try to explain that and they looked like fools because the explaination did not pass the logic test.

So if you can't yourself expain how it's cheating then what you and many others are doing is sort of slander.. Remember he was fined for a rules violation not cheating there is a difference there.

I am going to try and find the audio from 850 weei ( a sports radio station here in boston) when peter king was backed into a corner and started stuttering and was made a fool out of on this very subject because he could not prove how it was cheating but kept saying it was... He resorted at the end of the discussion to saying " I don't have the proof now but I will by the end of the month" this was babck in september and I am STILL waiting for this damming proof peter king had...

Now about the colts... when they had the offense to score at will they did.. Last night dallas scored at will and they kept their starters in... Where is the complaints about that???????

There is a lot of NFL rules and they are broken by every team in game and out of the game.. But by your definition then every player or coach who violated a uniform policy cheated, every lineman who cut blocked is a cheater.. anybody who committed a deliberate penalty is a cheater.. Anybody who broke any NFL rule no matter what is a cheater... So I guess according to your definition then yeah since everybody is cheating then this would be cheating too.

Thats the problem we just disagree on what cheating is

Good job I am impressed... but no need to call me or anybody else slow We don't need to get personal..

Why did you avoid my question Why won't you answer the question about The nfl rule on videotaping?

If this was major league baseball you would have won right there since in MLB rules it's illegal to use video equipment to tape catcher signals.

BUT this is the NFL and taping the signals is legal and is part of the game so it's not cheating since you can tape it from anyplace else in the stadium.. So my point is they broke a rule on where you can videotape.. It's kind of like parking your car in a no parking zone, sure it's legal to park your car... just not there.

Sure the pats may have gained some sort of scouting advantage from this who knows.. Nobody will ever know how much or how little that advantage was.. but we do know whats possible and whats impossible even in halftime adjustments and the cheating crowd has implied that they were able to use this stuff in game and thats just false..

Now if it was against the NFL rules to tape the signal callers then I would agree with you and /argument you win..

My slow comment was said beause that definition had already been posted in this thread by someone else. It was also not directed at anyone inparticular.

Back to me schooling you j/k

Going 65 in a 65 isnt against the law, but 66 is. Even a small difference can distinguish cheating and not.

If someone brakes a rule they cheat. Period. But linemen dont get fined 750,000 for holding, so apparently the NFL thought it was a pretty serious case of cheating.

But back to your question about the NFL rules and videotaping. I have never read a rule saying it was legal, but even if it is, the Pats did it it in an illegal place. I can do 65 on the highway but not in town. I would be doing the same thing but in the wrong place.

Thats cool just wanted to make sure it's not personal.. It's fun to argue about stuff like this.. I have no personal problem with you and this thread would be boring if it was just pats fans cheerleading the pats on.. This is why i don't go to pats message boards.. BORING

I can see your standard of cheating is a lot more strict than mine and thats fine.. But remember every team breaks NFL rules some are more severe than others.. In this case I think a big part of the fine and penalty is because of the timing of when belichick got caught ( new commisioner who just sent the memo) and the media ran away with this thing. it was a very smug act that belichick pulled to disregaurd the memo and just do what he wants.. It was a big FU to the league and he got what he deserved. To me it don't meet the standard of cheating only because you can have videotapes of the signal callers taken from any other place in the stadium.. Now if it was not legal to do so then I would agree that what they did was cheating.

Now if you want to argue that belichick can be a smug ******* that would be a very hard argument for me to hold my own in. I don't know Belichick and I never met him but from some of the actions I have seen from him he is not a very nice guy. Luckly for us NE fans you don't have to be a nice guy to be a good coach.

Jesus Christ give me an f'ing break will you drop it?

They cheated big f'ing deal it was wrong they shouldn't have and they paid the price for it. Now everyone else is paying the price for them proving they don't need to cheat to win they only wanted another advantage which all teams want and seek to do they just went to far.

Will you stop clogging up the entire NFL thread over one topic, its getting really pathetic.
