I'm so pumped about this game!!
Of course i'm pulling for the Patriots, but i'm really liking what i've seen out of Eli the past few weeks.. it's nice to see him finally shutting up all of the critics and playing some great ball.
However, I think the Pats will win by about 10-14 this time. If Belichick made adjustments as well as he did against the G-men before the second half started, I think he will do even better with 2 weeks to prepare. Seems like once they got a decent lead, they started pressuring Eli and it started to fall apart since the Pats went on a 22-0 run after those mid-game adjustments.
I hope to see a really good game, but i'm hoping the Pats start pulling away in the middle of the 3rd quarter.
GO PATS!!!

The adjustments go both ways though. Lets see if the G Men rise up and be the first ones to figure out how get both pressure on Brady and shut down the recievers at the same time. That's how you beat NE. Maroney will never beat a team by himself. But no one has figured out how to do what I said.
Holy Hell!!! Look at Pittsburgh's schedule next season!!!!!!!
Home:
Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Houston Texans, Indianapolis Colts, San Diego Chargers, Dallas Cowboys, and New York Giants.
Away:
Baltimore Ravens, Cincinnati Bengals, Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee Titans, New England Patriots, Philadelphia Eagles, and Washington Redskins.
Talk about Brutal. . . Both Super Bowl Teams, PLUS five other play off teams!

I was?I thought it could go either way but had to give Green Bay the edge for obvious reasons. But read my post in the SB about the Gmen

Pressure on Brady is the key. If they do that it will be close. He can't have another 3 int game and expect to win.
They have to get pressure on him and get to him quick enough before he can get rid of the ball, so far nobody has really been able to do that for a full 60 minutes. He's got a great O-line, so it's easier said than done.. They got some pressure on him in their week 17 meeting, but Belichick countered that by using Watson as a blocking TE and it helped out to give him the time he needed. I expect to see more of the same from them, along with fewer empty back sets to allow the RB to block or help out with screens.
The Ravens did it.
If they would have been able to decline that last false start penalty, instead of being forced to take it and letting the patriots do that play AGAIN, the patriots would have been 17-1 right now.

The Ravens got pressure and a little extra help from the weather.. the wind was ridiculous that night. I'm not trying to make excuses for them or anything tho, i'm just saying that the wind was a major factor in that game. The play right before he was intercepted with 1 minute left in the first half would've been a TD pass to Moss, but the wind held the ball up in the air and kept it from travelling as far as it would've in normal conditions. Coulda woulda shoulda.. but they're not 17-1. The Ravens broke down when it mattered the most and that's what the Patriots haven't done this year.
If the Pats don't let them run a kickoff back for a TD and play redzone defense like they did against San Diego, then they should win by 2 possessions. Manning was 4 for 4 in the redzone, all for TD's against them last time.. had they been held to 2 TD's and 2 FG's, it would be a different game; would've been 38-27 (if I did my math right).. but they didn't hold them to FG's, so it made the game closer. The G-men did exactly what you have to do against the Patriots... get TD's instead of FG's in the redzone; but they did the one thing that you can't do against them and expect to win - they had 1 turnover, which turned out to be a game-changer. However, the Pats had a few criticical penalties in that game which kept the Giants drives alive, which led to TD's most of the time, so they'll have to stop getting penalties or they're going to be put in tight spots.
But anyways.. I can't wait for this game! Should be a really good game.. and the G-men should be given a LOT of credit and a lot of people should shutup about Coughlin and Manning, whether they win or lose.
Not trying to stir anything up, i'm just giving my 2 cents on the subject.

easy enough to say, something everyone knows they have to do, nothing any team has been able to do for 60 mins VS the Patriots this season.

probably me, Ive been writing them off since week 1
I like those predictions
Well, I didn't figure on Tom having 3 int's
no whining here. Its how the schedule worked out. It just so happens that the teams that they are supposed to play next year are all but a few pretty damn good this year. I think its gonna be fun to watch! I'm actually excited! Although I will say unless they fix the issues at the O line and get some sort of a pass rush it will be one ugly ass year. But you have to admit that is one HARD ASS schedule.
Perhaps Maroney cant beat a team by himself but I'll take 122 rushing yards the past two playoff games anytime
IF you shut down the pass he'll never see 80 yards. But I dont think anyone is gonna shut down that pass anytime soon.
My money is on the Pats, and contrary to popular belief i think it will be some what of a blowout. The Giants have indeed earned it but i just don't think they've got it when it counts.
