I wouldn't go that far. The Giants totally shut down two very good offenses in consecutive weeks leading up to the absolute defensive pounding they layed on the Pats. I think the pressure they put on Brady was the difference; I never got the feeling watching that game that the Pats were about to get anything rolling offensively.

I don't know why people thought the Patriots were so invincible coming into this game. They didn't look spectacular at the end of the regular season, and didn't totally dominate in the playoffs either.

This is cute. Eli Manning just popped the cherries of both Belichick and Brady at the same time.

I'm going to recommend a regular SN Giants fan have the official NFL thread for the 2008 season.

The posts I made to you over the last few weks were not made to insult you. It was to show you that the Giants were far better than you thought and your football knowledge was sorely lacking. The Giants taught you a valuable lesson today that you should long remember and you should thank them for it.

What can I say? Not sure of what to say, not what I expected. The one goal any team couldn't do all season long the Giants were able to do tonight. Brady had no rhythm, the offense had no click. Brady spent more time on his back these 60 mins then he did the entire season.

Most ironic thing is they built this Patriots offense to compete with the Colts offense and Payton Manning. To equal them and be able to beat them. And when it comes down to it, its the other Manning who did them in this year. Cant take anything away from what the Giants did tonight. Saying...Next Season is much harder then...next week.

Flawless until the Finale

See you all next season.

Redline out.

My three favorite teams are still the same....the Steelers, the Saints, and whom ever is beating the Pats. I've only had 2 favorite teams all year....until now!!!! I didn't even watch the game, I was helping my sister in law move. I just figured the Pats were gonna win it anyway, and didn't wanna watch. Pleasantly surprised, and wish I would have watched what seems to have been one of the most nail biting, spectacular Super Bowl finishes ever. Still can't take anything away from the Pats though, they STILL have the perfect regular season.

Have time to check in for a second to say a few words.

The NY Giants are now the football champs of the World! Congrads to the Giants!

Now Eli Manning has proven to the world he can go toe to toe with Brady & Belichick in the most important game of all, the Superbowl, and WIN!

What a great day for NFL history. This will go down as one of the best Superbowls of all time.

The great New York Giants, whom we supported all season long have made us proud tonight my friend

I'll make it

Im still in shock, the Giants whom I follow so religiously have defied all odds.. we are WORLD CHAMPIONS OF THE NFL, THE GREATEST TEAM THIS SEASON! Nothing can take that away from us fans, or the team. All the trash talk about us folding, eli folding under the pressure when in the end, it was Brady.. folded nicely on the ground like a lawn chair.

BIG BLUE NEW YORK GIANTS.. SUPERBOWL 42 CHAMPIONS!

I'd say this Superbowl equals the '69 Superbowl of the Jets-Giants. No one expected the Jets to win. The AFL was considered far inferior. I'm still pumped up from this Superbowl and I'm a Steelers fan. This was by far the greatest Superbowl I've ever seen. Great job Giants!!

Morning after and I can still hardly believe it. This is the 3rd time the Giants have won the Superbowl. I'm really happy about this team. I live in Orlando and so many people have stopped by to congradulate me as if I had something to do with it.

Seems like fans of other teams wanted the Pats to get beat.

Pretty much...

Everyone I've talked to said, "I want the Giants to win, but I know the Patriots are gonna beat them."

I never made such a statement, just quietly pulled for the Giants to shut up all these damn New England fans. Especially a particular one here.

Last night after the game was over all Dicks sporting goods and Sports Authority stores opened to sell shirts and hats. I got myself a Hat, Shirt, and Sweatshirt. I'm still in cloud 9, probably taking off from work tomrorow to attent the ticker tape parade in NYC

It's a slap in the face of the Giants to say the Patriots choked. They didn't choke. They got beat by a better team last night.

KIDD!!! Where the hell have you been?

I am an Eagles fan because I was born right outside philly and lived in south jersey until I was 19. I also remember the Eagles losing to the Pats in Superbowl 39 in 2005. I got a ton of crap from my buddies that were Pats fans. Even this year when the Eagles played them, I was told it was going to be a blowout, it wasn't. Of course following the game, by no one can stop us. I am not really a Giants fan, as they are our rivals. However, they are a very close second.

However...

I hate the Pats more than anything and with this Perfect season bull**** and all the fan boys jumping onto the bandwagon. **** the perfect Season and all of their arrogance. I definately returned the favor and contacted all of my buddies that are Pats fans.

18-1
