Anyway. I dunno if I would say the patriots choked...more like they came in and thought they could "coast" and still win the game, like it required no effort at all.

Impression I got at least.

So who from that team is going into free agency this year, I know I heard about a couple guys but I can't remember who.

They came out flat and I do believe the pressure had finally caught up with them. They looked like they were playing not to lose, instead of attacking like they did all season.

Tom Brady, Randy Moss: Pro-Bowl 2008 Dropouts (stay classy guys )

BTW: that's going to be my new "sign-off". Please repeat in Ron Burgandy voice haha

I wouldn't call them "dropouts"... You going to call Antonio Gates and LT dropouts? There are a LOT of players that will not be participating in the Pro Bowl, due to injuries or various other reasons. Brady has the hurt ankle, which is why he isn't playing.

wht93gtEd said:
so wait, you're a Patriots fan that didn't go running and craying away from Stangnet?

lol

Why didn't I go running away? Because I still wear my Brady jersey and Belichick hoodie with pride. My team might not have won the SB, but at least they didn't lose it by throwing 5 interceptions and fumbling the ball away. They played a team on a hot streak who was able to take it to them with the front 4 for 60 minutes. The Giants and the Colts are the only 2 teams that i've noticed that can do it that way to the Pats, which is very good company for the G-men to be in.

I'm not a "fair weather fan," like a bunch of people on this site. I love the StL Cardinals (favorite team in baseball, my favorite sport) and I still wear my Jim Edmonds jersey with pride, even tho he got traded this winter and they didn't even make the playoffs this past season. The Razorbacks lose every bowl game they're in, but I still support them and wear my Hogs shirts with pride. I also like Ohio State and will wear my Ohio State shirt whenever I want, even tho they've lost 2 Championships in a row (very badly). I like LeBron James, even though he got swept in the NBA finals last year and probably won't even make it back to the Eastern Conference Finals (because of the Celtics and Pistons, damn they're good!). I'm a real fan, not just one who comes out and talks trash when their team is winning but then shuts up and goes into hiding when they're losing. Every team wins and loses big games, it's part of the unpredictability of sports which makes them so entertaining to watch (Example: See Superbowl XLII).

I'll give props to other teams when they're due, even the Cowboys.

The feature players are Randy Moss and Asante Samuel. Tedy Bruschi, Junior Seau, Jabar Gaffney and Randall Gay are also free agents. Seau and Bruschi are both on the verge of retiring I believe. Seau is like 100 years old. Given their past history of paying corners, they are not going to give Samuel what he wants, so he is probablu going to walk. They should do their best to re-sign Moss and try to get younger defensive players in the draft.

I honestly think they'll try to keep Samuel, he's the best db they've got. They'll probably put the "Franchise Tag" on Moss, paying him $8 million for 1 year until they can get everything sorted out. Seau and Bruschi won't retire, they know they can get right back into the SB next year and actually win it if they have better DB's and more depth on the offensive line. Seau wasn't a starter until Roosevelt Colvin got hurt in week 10 and was put on IR, so if they get Colvin back and add a young, good LB to the mix then he'll definately stay.... So don't be surprised if they overhaul their defense (mainly linebackers and defensive backs) in the offseason like they did with their offense last year; they know what they need and they'll get it, but they won't pay big bucks for it.

For me to taunt a Pats fan who never made fun of the Giants would be classless.
Hell, I don't even torment my co-worker, the Eagles fan & believe me, I really want to. They never won a Superbowl and never will.

I enjoy sticking it to the bandwagon fan we have or had here. I tried to stop him from making an ass out of himself for at least 2 months but he had to keep it up.

It's really good for him that the NY Giants and Eli Manning rammed all the crap he said striaght up his ass. It teaches him a lesson in humility.

What the Giants did in the last 5 weeks was like something out of a movie. David & Goliath, the Little Engine that Could. Many people that are not Pats or Giants fans said it was the best SB they ever saw. To me, it was amazing. I have to admit, I wasn't very sure the Giants would win but apparently they were.

Even tho the Patriots didn't win, I still consider it the best Superbowl I have ever seen. It was soooo entertaining and intense! My blood pressure got up so high during that game that I had to keep a fan on myself to keep from sweating .. When Eli threw that last TD, I seriously thought I was going to have a heart attack.. very entertaining game

So can the same be said for the Razorbacks coming down to Baton Rouge and beating LSU? What about Kentucky?... According to your supreme intelligence and awesome logic, LSU didn't choke, they were just beaten by a superior team playing relentless and an offense that makes plays when they need to? After all, LSU is still undefeated in regulation

Yes...you are correct. They were beaten by teams that played better. Any given Saturday ( or Sunday). I've always maintained that a team only chokes if they get away from their game plan and give up games from their own doing ie. numerous unforced errors (turnovers or penalties, bad play calling or very poor excecution). The Giants forced the Pats into playing poorly...they didn't play that way on their own.

In the end only one thing matters...

And in the case that appeals to me...

Good luck with your "two years and a new job" coach.

So.. now you're resorting to insults because an inferior Arkansas team kicked LSU's ass in their own backyard and McFadden ran for over 200 yards on that "vaunted" defense?

Real mature.. I don't care to stoop down to your level of ignorance.

Good luck with your dumb**** coach that won the title off of Saban's players and who can't admit a loss or pronounce US States names correctly

1)Keep thinking he is a dumb----...call me when Ar-kansas wins a national title with ANY coaches players.

2)How is his argument that LSU didn't lose in regulation any different than Urban Meyer politicking his team for the BCSNCG in 2006 or Pete Carroll and USC proclaiming a "three peat" when they had only had one BCS trophy?

3)2005...Miles was 11-2 with "Sabans players" in his 1st year that Saban was only able to go 9-4 with the previous year. Only 17 of this years players were recruited by Saban...so who did the other 50 or so belong to?

The Patsies lost to a "6 loss" team and the 72 Dolphins can still open that bottle of champagne thanks to the G-Men. Maybe Belechick can find a new tailor other than the guy at the homeless shelter.

Patriots won 2 more games in the regular season than the '72 Dolphins and also faced many more opponents with winning records than those Dolphins did.

I don't know what point you're trying to prove

By the way, Ar-kansas won titles in the 60's when LSU was a no-name. We've got more football history than your beloved LSU can hope to have. If you want to get real technical about insulting Ar-kansas, when was the last time your team won a national title in basketball?.. Oh wait, THEY NEVER DID!

Grow up, man... really. You're looking no better than some people who get on here and brag about their teams dominance altho they're just sitting their lazy ass on the couch watching somebody else do all the hard work. Think about a Patriots fan on here that you have been criticizing so bad for talking his team up... I don't see you being any different than that.

and, i am not just "sitting on the couch blah blah blah" as i'm a student at uf, so i contribute to this university

what ever happened to sec fans liking each other? i thought that was a known thing?
