Roethlisberger. Hines Ward was all pissed off because Big Ben was asking for a tall receiver.

Yeah...once they learn that running it up the middle every other play just doesn't really work. *sigh*

The defense was best in the league but the offense wasn't keeping up.

I don't get how that team looked SO GOOD the first half of the season this year...and SO AWFUL the second half.

It's all about planning. The Pats looked unbeatable until the end of the season. Then *****s in the armor arose and more teams began to figure it out. Same goes with the Steelers. You can't always stick with what is working now because someone is eventually going to figure a way to the weakness.

Well, they used to have this tall receiver named Plaxico Burress...

Who got pissed and left because they never passed to him.

And, I never heard about that with Hines Ward, how recent was that? I don't keep up with the steelers much after the regular season if they aren't in the playoffs.

It just happened, i'd say it was the week off in between week 17 and the Super Bowl. There was apparently some comment by Roethlisberger that he wanted the steelers to get a tall receiver. Hines Ward caught wind of it and got a little upset. He questioned it and asked why did they draft Santonio Holmes.

They 'seem' to be over it now though.

Kinda funny, now that I look at it...Nate Washington is their tallest receiver at 6'1".

But you look at their tight ends, and they're 6'4", 6'5", 6'5", and 6'7" (Matt Spaeth).

And how the Giants were completely lucky they won, how they Giants got luck with green bay, etc etc.. Admiting that the the Pats execute plays, the giants just get lucky..

Right so the giants suck ass and the Patriots are the ultimate team evarrr..

I never sairs the pats stink, just on sunday, the giants played bettter and exploited things nobody really did the whole season

The way I see it the ones who talk a lot of smack are the bandwagon fans or the new fans who only remember the last few years of good. They had no clue or were not old enough to remember when the Pats sucked badly.

He has grown since going to New York. He was a whiney bitch who couldn't catch a fade route when he was here. He is the guy who cought a pass over the middle, got up, spiked the ball and the other team ran it back for 70 yards. HE has matured and is themain reciver and that is what he needs.

As far as Ben askign about a tall reciever I ask you, who wouldn't want that? The Steelers dont have a down field threat until they have one. IT would just compliment Ward and Holmes.

Well, I suppose there's always next season. Two good RB's, Ward will still be around, and Tomlin is definitely gonna be a great coach.

Injuries dude. Ya loose Aaron Smith for the year, Parker for the year, Troy was banged up real bad all year. . .do I need to go on?

Parker was the leading rusher in the NFL til his leg was broken. So no, no one really figured out how to stop that this year.

FOR THE RECORD...THE PATRIOTS DID NOT, I REPEAT, DID NOT CHOKE. THEY WERE BEATEN BY A SUPERIOR TEAM PLAYING RELENTLESS DEFENSE AND AN OFFENSE THAT MADE PLAYS WHEN THEY NEEDED TO

Thank you and peace and love and all that.

Yes they did, and you can forget about those lobsters.

while I do agree with you to some extent; Gates has a confirmed broken toe & LT's injury was bad enough to keep him outta the championship game...so I can cut them slack...

But Brady's "alleged" ankle injury, and Moss...who knows. We all know they're just nursing their wounds, while not necessarily crying along with TO, I'm sure their pissed.

Me, I don't see any point in the pro-bowl anyway; just make some guys that don't like each other play on the same team; do any of you guys even watch it or is it just an excuse to squeeze in 1 last week of football until next year?

I have the same opinion about the Pro Bowl, I just don't understand the whole deal. I know the NBA and MLB have All-Star games, but those aren't as brutal sports as football and they're played in the middle of the year.. not after an entire year when every player is ready for a break

and im the same way.. I'm not the person to say this team sucks, that team sucks... I'm a football fan, i love it! A team can stink for a season but i dont really "hate" a team.. just strongly dislike

I was humble this entire season. And after the giants won i still didn't go around bragging how "the giants are the best patriots suck horrayy!" Its any given sunday

Yea he needs to come in an get a tast of pwnage.. I'll make sure its addressed in August don't you all worry

I Do believe in the "any given sunday" theory... but if you ask Mercury Morris, he doesn't. "Any team can beat anyone else on any given sunday and will always be that way. It was that way every season, except for 1972.. then it wasn't any given sunday and there was only 1 team that you knew wasn't going to lose." I'm so sick of that old cocky/arrogant bastard

Injuries suck!! When the Patriots lost Roosevelt Colvin, they were a completely different defense since it pushed Adalius Thomas to the outside and forced Seau into being a starter... we lost a LOT of pressure from the outside after Colvin was gone for the season in week 10 ... I love watching that guy play, he's so dang quick and powerful
