Texas is getting screwed. They beat OU straigh up and had as good a loss as you can have against TT. I don't care what OU did to TT. UT>OU. If Mizzou pulls off the upset, we can get get UF vs. UT like it should be. Screw USC and you won't hear me say PSU should get the chance either.

Not only did Texas beat OU, they also beat the other team in the B12 championship game.
Its disgusting that a team who beat both teams who are playing in the title game is getting hosed.

Like Auburn in '04 or Virginia tech last season...it's only going to get worse as parity has taken hold in all conferneces. Only a true play off will alleviate that.

Both those teams made their conference championship games so its a bit different than Texas as they dont even get to play in their conference title game even though they have the best record and beat both teams who are.
I dont put Va Tech in that category for the bcs championship either. They got gang raped by LSU who was obivoulsy in the title mix and as you know got there and won.
04 Auburn was the one who got hosed. Its a shame that Oklahoma seems to be the team who always gets the breaks from the BCS yet SUCKS worse than any other team in those games ever. Ohio State gets all the ****, but OU has been 0-4 in its last 4 BCS games and 1-5 overall, at least OSU is 4-2 in BCS games.
But I agree a playoff is a MUST. 16 teams, 11 conference champions, and 5 at large decided by a selection committe, no computers and no polls decide it.

How are you liking your chances without Harvin? Everybody talks about how is Florida gonna match up with Bamas size, but I always wonder how is Bama gonna match up with Floridas speed?
i feel our chances are still very good. dont get me wrong, it would be SO much better to have harvin, but without him, we still have guys that can step up for us.
this is my honest, unbiased opinion:
UF has played in a way i have never seen a team play. they have everything clicking. they play as a TEAM, and they get the job done. we get the guys out there fired up, get the game rolling, then, hell, take out the players early on, and still hold our lead.
Bama has played tough all year, but i dont see them having what it takes. i think their defense will hold florida better than any other we've faced, but i still dont think that it will be ENOUGH to stop us from scoring. as far as bama's offense, it's pretty average. they have good running, but so did several other teams we've played, and we handled them fine. IF bama can get the running game going well, we might be doomed, but i dont see that happening. we stop the run, make JPW throw, i think they wont be putting up many points.
the only thing to base all this on is seeing the two teams play, and stats. that means absolutely JACK right now, though. ALL that matters is what happens on that field today, and anything can happen. i hate we dont have percey, but i think we will handle it. these 3.5 more hours of waiting SUCK!
