After tearing into both fords (small and big blocks) and various chevys V8 and V6, i was surprised when i got my dodge ram sport 1500 with a 318 how VERY easy it was to change the oil, plugs, and access pretty much everything so easyily, chrysler really engineered that truck awesome. Check the rear end fluid, theres a rubber plug you just pop out of the back of the 9.25" rear end and see lol, easy as pie. I did the exhaust with a prototype chambered tube from work into a side exit right behind the passenger side cab, sounds like a modular 4.6L with a nice LOUD and very deep rumble.

Welp, typical of a GM, the CEL came on, stating the O2 is now bad. Stupid POS... LOL. And I couldn't get the front, drivers spark plug out cause it was so crammed. It's easier to do from the wheel wells, so I might jack it up tomorrow and do that one plug, and I bought the 02 so I'll be replacing that tomorrow. Dammit, on the first Sunday for football, too.

My '96 Blazer popped the intake gaskets at 117k and I got them replaced and then it spun a bearing at 123k. I got a motor put in and the transmission started slipping and blowing fluid at 125k. I ended up trading it in on the Elantra.

I wont buy another GM for a while. That POS Blazer really turned me off to GM.

A small block goes right in Astro/Safari vans and Ive heard its easier than an S10 swap. A guy around here has a 327 in an Astro and it looks like a total beater for the sleeper look.
