Nice job!

The website looks great Bob!

It will be nice to go to one place for updates.
I also liked being able to view the many additional photos other than what you have previously posted!

Thanks for the input. Grammar has never been one of my strong points.

Also, as far as quotation marks go, it just doesn’t look right to me when I put the period inside the quote. Is that rule the same in all situations???

Well.... I will have to take a close look at you first, but yes. We plan on taking people out for a test spin at the "It’s finally done grand unveiling, open house and get together." After all, how can we get your input about the car if we can't get it out on the road???

Yeah, whatever ends the sentence, let it be a period, exclamation, or question mark, will go on the inside of the quotes. Talk with you later.

Hi up2d8,

As far as the wheel flares go, we had to ax the 03's because the 2" vertical flat section just did not look right on the car. The 03 flare would have been another 1" larger / higher on the quarters and fenders than the one's we finally used. The “Eleanor” flares gave us the same basic contours as the 03, but the flat vertical section was only 1" tall.

Also, I have pretty much conceded that we will use the 4 point harness instead of the 3 point air bag combo. I could still install the 3 point with air bag, but everyone I talked with said that the 4 point setup is safer all the way round. I am going to have to revise that section of the web site.

In Firefox the yellow caption boxes are misplaced and on top of things. One is right on top of the navigation menu with no text in it.

One addition that I personally would like to see on the site (the reason I keep coming back the this thread) is a section on whats new. I see there are sections for different sections on the car and different stages, but I dont have a clear way of determining what new and cool things were done!

just a thought.

Ok question though, what's with all that jibberish under the Suppliers sidebar? Is that an unfinished web thing or is it my browser or has the world taken on a new language and I've just been left behind?

Hi CD,

I agree. I am going to work on that, but for right now, I wanted to get the basic format figured out. I am going to organize things so that you can look at the site in two ways. First, broken down by specific area of the car like the site shows now. Second, by chronological order, showing the build as described in the forums.

Yes we will all be going for rides. It is a car after all. No point in just standing around staring at it. Where would the fun be in that???

Also, the "new language" is just unfinished text. I need to contact the suppliers and see what they want the text to say.

Hi All,

I am still working on the site (getting things organized and downloaded, etc...

But, I have downloaded all my photos to date. If you follow the link above, you will see all the images of the hood (as of 9AM today).

Also, we just got the car back from the shop doing the dash modifications and I am really pumped. It looks great, but you can voice your opinions tomorrow after I post the photos.

After I get things all situated at the site, I will be able to post links to the photos just as I have done in the past.

We are getting closer and closer to completion. I can hardly wait to fire this sucker up.

Damn, that hood looks awesome, next time you rip apart a practically brand new Cobra Save the roof for my 66 coupe's hood would you. That looks just as good as I thought it would, an I know it's gonna look freaking sweet sitting on the car in a few days

Hi All,

First off, let’s take a look at the hood with its first coat of primer.

In this photo you can see the 1 1/2" rise at the back of the hood. Note how subtle the "bulge" blends into the hood at the edges. I think this is going to look just fantastic. Everyone in the shop was sitting on a egg crate (behind the hood) looking down its length while they pretended to drive the car. It should look pretty impressive from the cockpit while looking pretty tame from the outside of the car.

I have been watching Wayne work on the hood for the past week (He has over 60 hours in it right now) and I am having trouble believing that it has taken this much time to get it in primer. It looks seamless to me. He spent a lot of time working the transition from the bulge to the hood in an attempt to duplicate the transition from the rear glass to the trunk. Once the car is complete, I imagine that people will only give it a passing glance and say “Nice hood.” While this will probably tick Wayne off (He wishes that people would realize just how much work was involved), I keep telling him that the better he does his job, the less people will notice.

With that said, let’s look at the modified dash.

This is going to look great once we cover the panels in matching vinyl. I really like the way the fabricated panel curves and undulates as it makes its way from one end of the dash to the other. Right now, I could not be happier. I guess we will truly see once it is covered and reinstalled.

man, Bob that car just keeps looking more and more like what i imagine the end result will look like. i doubt that i'll ever get up your way, so if you put the car on the show trail and end up somewhere in my neck of the woods I WANNA RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

heh looks awesome, i know for a fact you will have to buy wayne a big beer at the end when its all done lol looking great, give props to the body man for me, he truelly is great at what he does.. i think i might have to come up there jsut to see it unless your bringing it next year to the mustang week in myrtle beach

I wouldn't be surprised to see duplicates of that hood when the car hits the street. Every aspect of the car is turning out awesome. I definitely be coming to Chicagoland for a peek and a ride.
