So I went to " look " at this thing this morning, cash in hand. The moment I saw it I knew I was going to buy it, but I tried to play it cool. Whatever the guy selling it was super cool had a sweet 87LX 5.0 he had owned since new ( thanks mom and pop! )

So the car is NOT perfect and the photos give it a little more than pop than it has in real life, this is by no means to say the car is not in excellent condition just the camera gives it a touch more.

These pictures were taken as soon as I got it home, not washed, not cleaned, not vacuumed just as it sits.

So as I I said, I HAD TO!

And in its new home

The Sellers 87 LX, super clean

And his bitchin Wagon! I really liked the wagon.

I know what you mean about going to look. I just sold my 2011 GT and bought the Charger in September, and "went to look" at the '89 GT I now own. The first time I was there I even told them, "Just looking, cant afford it even if I wanted to... just bought that Charger." And then a week later it was in my garage. Looks pretty nice though, nice find. I assume you will leave it remotely stock, being as I have heard you say a few times your car is kinda too much?

You gotta think, though, when was the last time any of us saw a stock, let alone '85 GT stock engine bay?

It's been a while for sure. I do have an 84-85 air cleaner lid hanging on the wall in my garage from the '85 GT t-top I parted out a loooong time ago. Stupid..i know, but the car was in rough shape. But now I really have the itch for a T-topped 85-86.

That car is screaming for a set of clean, mint, OEM 10-holes, and then restoring it back to original.

Are the moldings and mirrors painted? Or just faded?

I'd probably lower it a little but after that...clean stock minor resto projects is all I'd concentrate on.

5 lugs are awesome but I wouldn't bother with that. Love that car. I wish I had waited for a t top.
