Ive had my 82 GT since 1991. that was the year i converted it over to 1989 5.0 specs.. bought a 1989 gt (at auction) and installed everything, powertrain complete interior and dash, fuel injection. the only thing on the 82 that is still from the 82 is the body..

New rims/tires and a 1" drop = NEW PICS!

Just put on some 17x7 TSW Kyalami HyperBlack (but they are metallic grey) with 245/45/ZR17 Potenza's

Ok so its not the top of the heap but the wife bought it for me and my son for fathers day this year.

So far all we've done is replace the top motor, swap in some 99 gt seats and hook the power driver's seat up, and replace the totally blown rear and door panel speakers.

I love this car but the rear needs to come up a bit. It looks like the car is squatting to take a dump haha. More RAKE!

I was giving the car a chance to settle out for a week, I don't know if springs really "settle" but
I am not excited about pulling the springs again..LOL

So, this week I will yank the fronts and cut a half coil off. That should do the trick............I hope.

But thanks for the compliments!

what springs are they?

i would caution a half coil cut, your soooo close, i would advise a 1/4. i remember way back, the day my now wife and I hard our first date.... i cut half a coil from my c springs, and was on the bump stops. we bounced our asses about 30 miles that night, she married my ass anyway.

sweet as car man. my first TWO foxes were capri's, the first a 79 rs, the second a 80 inline. then a 82 stang, and finally, the car that started me modifying, an 82rs 5.0

i changed all the suspension to late model gt, and the trans, rear end etc... i loved that car. broke 3 7.5 rr ends in it, and then sold it for a 91 conv in 94 (or was it late 93??).

anyway, ill quit ramblin.

think ill take some pics on my 89, and 91.
nothing else to do, it's so damned hot you cannot hardly walk in the garage.

I got these springs with a parts car I had, they were not installed, so I held onto them.

They are made by Suspension Techniques and are Sport Springs # 60090 http://www.stsuspensions.com/
They are a 1 inch drop.

If I cut a coil, I only want to do this once...LOL but I don't want to be too low either...

I hate taking this crap apart.
