ok well about 2 months ago i had a king cobra clutch rip apart on me. so i replaced it and could no afford anything nicer so i stuck with it. well i was drining home and took it threw 2nt shifted hard into 3rd at about 6k and went to go to 4th and it just grinds and made a weird noise like the clutch riped apart again. heres wair its my fault. when i first installed it the clutch would slip and when i adjusted it so it wouldnt slip it would tick. i have installed clutches menny times befor and never had this problem. gess i should have returned it, or something

o yeah the clutch had about 1000miles on it. also whats clutches are you guys running and do you like them? o yeah im somewair close to 300whp

I'm running a king cobra which i like other than the harder pedal feel. I've heard that spec clutches are nice. I dont really think you need anything more radical, i would say just make sure its adjusted right and take it easy more often. Its more about how you drive it, dropping the clutch and not slipping between gears etc will wear it out a lot faster.

Sounds like your being hard on your clutch before you should, you need to let the clutch and flywheel "break in" (for the lack of a better term) before you give flog it.

that could be true cause my last one lasted a long time almost to the rivits. but when i first drove on this clutch i had the stock linkage and it did not tick but it would slip at about 3400 thats at about peak torque. and then the linkage broke and i got an adjustabol one and it would eather tap from not enough pressure on the clutch fingers of it would slip. i think this might be a defective clutch. anyone have that same prob?

it seems weird cause every one says thats the best clutch for the street and everyone loves it. most of witch are making alot more power then me.
