I put a 5.o HO engine out of a 87 lincoln mark 7 and put it in my 73 mustang . I switched it over to mass air by buying the engine harness, computer and mass air sensor from Ford mostorsports, which is for a 91 to 93 5.0 engine . I deleted the smog pump and the cats and have a problem. The engine light (which I installed) comes on when the engine is under load or decreasing RPM. In other words, when driving normally, the engine light is off but upon acelleration or de celleration the light comes on. I have no vacuum lines to the thermactors. Is there a way to fix this? Eihter by re programing or using a resistor?

Someone in one of the threads said to use a 10K resistor. Well I put one in each thermactor and I ran, and the light did not come on as often in 20 mile drive, but it would not start again until I removed one of the resistors. I still have to have the codes read.
