these brakes worth it?

friend has a set of cobra calipers off a 96 cobra with the 38mm pistions. i can get them cheap and was wondering if it would be a good deal or if i should just wait to buy a set of used newer ones with the 40mm pistions or a brand new set?

the big question is, is there a big difference in the 40mm and 38mm versions?

i guess i'm asking if there is a big difference in the 96 cobra brakes compared to say the 2001 cobra brakes?

Not really a huge difference. 94-98 Cobra calipers are 38mm while 99-04 are 42mm. Both use same brake pads and rotors.
