A few things that make me laugh (and drive me crazy) about my Mustangs. Has anyone else noticed?

The rear spoiler on the '85 is like a bathtub when you wash the car. Actual gallons of water pool up in the thing. You really could bathe small children, raise goldfish, or survive a week in the desert with all that water. Engineers! What were they thinking?

So along come the '87+ cars, much improved: the tub is redesigned - only as large as a good-sized birdbath now.

Today I was caught out by the rain in the '89, and turned on the wipers for the first time in a year or so... I actually laughed out loud at the wimpy little things flapping around on the windshield. After years of driving newer cars with huge, effective wipers, it was a funny sight.

Last, but not least: Why can't Ford figure out how to make the ignition work like the foreign cars? You know, where you can shut the engine off without turning the stereo off? When I arrive at my destination, and I'm rocking out with Lenny, I want to be able to shut the gas sucker off without interrupting the music. Why can't they figure it out?! Is it too much to ask?? Is this why BMWs cost so much?

Thats why you pay an arm and a leg for those Import cars cause they add every freaking detail. If you want ford to do that then be prepared to spend alot more.

Easy way not to stop the music....put the car in gear, brake and let the clutch out.

J/k Phil,

Nate and I have actually started talking about putting a system into Hankey to help get it up to weight.

Actually my music stays on. I have the famous worn out fox body ignition that stays on. After you pull the key out, you have to turn the ignition forward to the acc.

i have a gripe and the only one: when i wash the stang the stock rear spoiler leaks water out from under the gasket when you open the trunk? but not into the trunk! and after i was it unless it's hot out there is water trails down the back of it by the tail lights and plate if i move the car? i dont understand this as for i dry out the lip in the trunk around all door jams and under the hood? where is it comming from? does anyone else have this problem on there S/N 95's? peace
