ok i have a running motor in my car, everything thing is there. only strange thing is the injector harness is aftermarket, i will swap it out when rebuilding.

I have a 93 long block tore down.

I will buy a cheap 180 federal mogul rebuild kit, without the pistons.
i will get some pistons from a friend for 50$ they are forged from.

get the block machined and rebuild it
pull my motor out and take the intake and accesories etc off it.

What do you think need replacing in this stage of the rebuild???

Well, since your inside the motor:

Lifters
Oil Pump
Oil Pump Drive shaft
Pushrods
Lifters (if you can afford some 1.7RR)
Replace the dampner

Make sure you get your whole assembly balanced out

definitely balance, you can actually feel the difference in how it runs compared to stock...$200 well spent

what all does that rebuilt kit come with? rings, brgs, gaskets?

what kind of forged pistons are they?

yeah i am keeping her.
the pistons are out of an 89 i believe.I will have them checked before i buy.

I might save for a while.
I have 300 now, i can keep adding to it slowly over each paycheck and then take my xmas money ( all i get for xmas is money) which should be like 3-400$ and get some nice gt-40s or something to go with the motor...

Opps, I noticed a typo on my list:

You definently need new lifters, Then you should look at getting a set of 1.7 roller rockers (if you stick with the stock cam)

Definenlty save up for the rebuild. You can all around to local shops to start getting costs for machining of your block. Look on eBay and in the classifieds for used parts and such.
