Im getting some side pipes soon and I was just wondering what you guys think about the tips I plan on putting. They are some 2.5 in tips with a angle cut and the cut is going to be flush with the skirts. But I painted them black and personally I think it looks cool as hell. And I used some BBQ paint so the heat wont do any damage. Heres a pic of me just mocking them up to give you an idea.

I think that is allright. Something a little different anyway. But I am one of those people that like the clean, no pipe look in the rear on our cars (not to mention .... I can't run pipes out back with the tires that I have). I will always be either dumped, or side-piped. You thought about side pipes / skirts?

I like it! I'd just be worried about speed bumps and pot-holes, especially if your car is lowered.

I think thats the best way to route an exhaust, and i'm partial to the round tip like you showed. It just looks...sick. If u can figure out a way to make your pipes fit right up against the floor board and have the tip barley sticking out, it would look awsome. Do it, but do it right.
p.s. I think unpainted steel or aluminum looks best on that setup.

Can you guys get some pics from underneath. Also, Suspect. How did your spintechs sound. I've had side exhaust skirts in my closet for almost 2 years but can't decide on a muffler to use. Any sound clips of side exhaust out there.

Umm ... yeah. I was referring to skirts that are made for side pipes.
