I am so SICK of the stock 5-spoke rims. I think they look like crap so I was thinking of changing things up by painting them black.

Opinions?

If you go black, at least have the polished lip. I'm not a fan at all of solid black rims.

go old school saleen style and paint them yellow

Paint doesn't hold up well usually and if you start getting chips on the black it will look terrible.

i was actually thinking this very same thought. would def be different. i dont think the silver looks bad tho.

consider powercoating them rather than paint. as you know, more resistant to chips. there's a local guy in my town that does this very reasonable but ultimately i'd rather put that cash toward another set of wheels.

The black looks better. Someone photoshop a yellow strip or a silver lip.

The black looks sweet. Powdercoating is better then paint but you have to take them the wheels without tires on them so you can only do it when you get a new set of tires. I heard 20 bucks a wheel at a local powdercoating shop.
