Hey Jeremy, you should throw on a single turbo with your stock block. Just keep the boost relatively low, and save up for a dart block. A lot of turbo guys are hitting 500 rwhp on the stock block/internals. Turbos usually add power in a linear manner, which is less stressful on the internals.

At some point you will probably have to get a 4 bolt , so getting a D.S.S. with a machined production block seems to me like its avoiding the inevitable . Just my opinion. Believe me, I know this stuff gets crazy expensive. But like 5.0 HOtrain said, you'll be happy you did it right the first time.

And you're still in a stock block. The girdle is good, it might hold everything together as it exits the block. I know there are alot of people seeing 500rwhp with stock blocks, it is a true testimate to just how strong the 302 is. DONT expect it to last. Price out how much it would cost to do twice. Like mentioned above put a turbo on now and keep the boost low, save for better parts and make big #'s then. JMHO.

Turbo now is maybe a choice. But I dunno yet. If I'm gonna do it right. I go off to school in Janurary at Wyotech for a year so I may just wait until I get out of there and start making more money. Because in all reality, theres not reason to build up this badass block or put a turbo on it, when I'm not gonna be driving it much next year. I might as well save up a lot of money and do it right.
I may just get a couple of appearance things I have been waiting for.

I'd like to keep this thread alive though to learn more about blocks and such.

Jeremy
