I think I may paint my calipers sometime soon. A couple are in REALLY bad shape, and the other two aren't anything to brag about. I can't really decide what I want to do. My car is silver, and I have 17" chrome Cobra R replica rims.

Is silver a little much with a silver car and chrome rims? Seems like it may be a little bland like that, but I don't really know. What about red or maybe blue? I like both of those colors, but I'm afraid it may stick out a little much or look ricer-ish. Anyone got any pics of these colors? If I don't like any of those colors, black is always my safe choice and will be what I do. Thanks guys.

Honestly if you have the cash I would upgrade to some 13in brakes and paint them red as I dont thing those calipers would look very good painted. just my .02 cents.

+1 on red. It doesn't look ricer ish. If you want it to look cleaner, paint the mounting brackets black that way the red pops even more.

Oh, those cans of caliper paint that you buy at parts stores (brush on) do like 10 cars, they say they only paint 4 calipers but I barely put a dent in my can and coated 3 times......

i've got red on mine and love it. agreed with the cobra upgrade if you have the cash. i just put mine on and am happy with it. i'd say paint the calipers red if you want it to look sporty or black if you just want to clean up the look. i'd stay away from silver on a silver car/chrome wheel

I'm thinking I'm probably gonna go red. I think it'll look good, and if I don't like it, it's no big deal just to paint it back black. I do agree that silver would be a bad idea.

I'd love to do the Cobra brake upgrade, and probably will someday, but I don't currently have the cash. I figure that painting the calipers is one of the cheapest things I can do to make the car look better.

While your at it, detail your wheel wells...... Search 04 sleepers post for a great how too... Use rubber coating on the rears to put them back black and then armoral or tire wet (eagle brand) on the front inner fender to make it look good again.

I have a silver 03 GT with black Bullitts, and one of the next things on my list is Cobra brakes or Bullitt brakes powder coated black with the "COBRA" or pony polished to be like a bright silver color.

I cant decide between Cobra and Bullitt though...

Black. Only big brakes should have color.
