I had my seat delete out for my welder (lower torque box reinforcements) and I came to the conclusion that I hate it. The previous owner really screwed it up. He also cut out the center of the package tray support for some unknown reason (only think I can think of is he was going to install a cage.
Anyway I think this would be a real good way to turn a butcher job into something I can claim is custom. You know try to make it look like a real two seater car. I was thinking of possibly covering it with carpet and fabbing up some sort of cover for the floor.
Anyway I had some (a lot of) questions:
Who else makes these? I could only find this. What are the material req. in case I decide to try and fab my own?
How are they installed? Rivits? Screws? How hard is it too install?
Can I keep my interior? I'm not really using this for its racing application I just think it will make a cooler seat delete then the suck-ass one I got now.
If I cut/notch it it for wiring (brake lights and battery relocation), will it still be a legal firewall for strip purposes? Also would this count as sealing the battery off from the driver? My battery isn't in a track legal box.
Also...opinions? What do you guys think of this idea.
