It's not worth 30K, but neither is it worth 6-8K. For someone who wants a Cobra of that vintage, a triple black vert with only 5K miles (assuming all of it is legitimate) will bring a whole lot more than a typical one with 100K+ miles.
A twelve year old Cobra with 5000 miles is far too unique to be valued by KBB. A professional appraisal would be more accurate, but in the end it is worth whatever the buyer is willing to pay. I would guess he will end up getting $12-13K. I also expect that it would fetch a grand or so more if it were 100% bone stock instead of supercharged.KBB Private party value:

What's the conventional wisdom on a heavily modded car: Add the value of all the parts (excluding any installation labor), divide by 1/2. Start at that price and expect to go lower.

I think it's a great deal, I don't know what you guys are talking about. I'm getting ready to put my 88' 5.0, facotry stripped down coupe, with the hard to find Rio red paint and grey interior on there for $22,500.00. There can't be more than 2,000 of my combo either...

Believing what those KBB books say for a 12 year old car, low production, low mileage, mint condition is rediculous.
Please humor me some more and go out and buy a '96 Cobra with 5K miles on it for $9,900. Take your KBB and bank loan officer with you also.
