The key is to isolate the thief completely alone on one side of the river, that way both parents can stay together and the policeman and bring the last child over, before returning to get the thief.

This is a diagram I made to solve it, the >'s mean across the river, the <'s mean back to the side they started on

I finally figured it out after about a half hour....what a pain in the ass.

and the "reward" for finishing was definitely a blueballer.

There are actually many sequences that will work. But they all involve using the cop as a ferry for kids at some points. As well as leaving the kids alone on a side with no adult supervision.

took me five minutes, its like a riddle i know in Spanish, but instaed of people its a Coyote, Lettuce and a rabbit.Coyote eats rabbit, rabbit eats lettuce.easier but kinda the same technique
