I hate to complain, but things are not going well.

I took my repurchased Mustang to have the emissions and safety inspection done.

Good news is that it passed emissions with L/Ts and a headswap, and all that.

Bad news, I am going to be getting bent over for $1400. :jaw:

Rack and pinion, rear pinion seal, tie-rod ends, rear tires, brakes, rotors, alignment, power steering flush, brake system flush, and the rest of someone's freaking mortgage.

I want to pull my hair out. I guess it is good that this is being done, it gives me a little piece of mind about the condition of the car.

I still need to replace the A/C hose (which I am doing by myself) and then have them recharge the system.

Thanks.

Maybe thats why the previous owner sold it back to you? I know some people know there is stuff wrong with cars and sell them and never tell the new owner! Whenever I sell a car I make sure the new owner knows the inside and out of what the car might need etc etc. I hate when people bend people over backwards, heck, even dealers do that!

On a side note, a local guy has a 99 motor with 80k for $300. I want to get it and just hang on to it. I wish I had a place to let it sit.
