So what the hell does Ford mean when they say try not to drive continuously at the same speed for the first 1000 miles.

Does that mean 5 minutes at 60 MPH or 10 minutes at 60 MPH or a half hour. It is such a nebulous and vague statement as to be meaningless.

Very simple.....in town, it will be next to impossible to drive at one speed very long so no big deal. On the highway, do not set the cruise at one speed for a long time.......... If they gave specific time frames for varying the speeds, people would get hurt from watching the clock and speedometer vs driving.

I just drove my car like I stole it.......never worried about the continuous speed cuz there was not time for it...

Are you one of those people that need everything spelled out for you? It means exactly what it says; Vary your speed, don't take a 1000 mile road trip while setting your cruise on 65 mph.

Gotta break them new stangs in right, under 70 for fuel efficiency One complaint of mine is don't build a v8 to be consumer friendly, build it to be american muscle. Sure you want to sell more units, but altering the way a v8 is meant to perform is just not american. If you want a mustang for gas mileage thats why they make a v6
