I let a freind of mine drive my stang for maybe a mile last night and when he went to make the left turn onto his street he gave it too much gas fish tailed and slammed the front left rim into a curb. The rim is still holding air but the lip is torn up and now my steering is all screwed up, I havnt went under yet to look at what damage was done but my steering wheel is now turned to the right 90 degrees while Im driving and the car feels loose. What could be possibilities for the steering wheel to be turned like that? also it looks like the rim that hit might be pushed back some and the front of the rim is angled out slightly, any suggestions as to what the damage is?
This is what I get for letting someone drive my stang. Can anyone help me fix it?

Could've bent a control arm, and Cobra4075 is right about the tie rod. Never ever ever ever ever let anyone drive your car! My friend had a sweet 91 GT; he let his gf drive it all the time. Well, she let her brother (16) drive it and he spun into a concrete ditch pulling out of BK, totalling the car. He lost around 4k on that deal, his insurance sucked.

i agree w/ the tie rod. should be too bad to do yourself if you have some mechanical experience. part is around $80, i'd say---my friend had a similar experience/symptoms you describe. good luck.

Dont feel bad, Im still paying for letting a ricer "friend" try my car out with me in it.....2 years later....He floored the car from almost idle, got the boost up to 15psi, blew smoke all over from the oil shooting up the dipstick and 2 years later, I have a 16% and 20 % leakdown in 2 of my cylinders...Im still waiting to get the $$ to change the engine.

Yup, same in the state of AZ. If the car is insured, ANY licensed driver is insured. That way if you let someone borrow your car, they are covered. Mandatory requirement of the insurance companies in my state. That is why my beater is insured under my 47 yr old dad, makes insurance a hell of a lot cheaper..
And ditto on making him pay any expenses. You should have called the cops and filed a report, that way if you need to take it to the legal stage you can.
New rim + new LCA/tie rod/etc + bent frame (unlikely though) =

lol trust me Ill never let anyone drive it again but he allready said that he will pay for any damage and Ill do the labor on it. Im not worried about taking it to a legal stage cause he's good for the money and he knows that I dont *uck around when it comes to my car, if he doesnt want to pay I have my own way of dealing with him and getting my money. I still have to get under the car to take a look which I was goin to do today but its raining out so itll have to wait. Maybe it will work out for the best though, if the steering rack is messed up Ill have hime buy me the flaming river manual unit and anything else thats messed up will be replaced with upgraded aftermarket parts
i had that same problem. i popped a curb, ruined all four month old chrome cobra rims. had to get a new rack/piniona and a tie rod end. they put it up on the frame lift thingy, fixed that a bit. then a new alignment.
check the tir rods, and the rack and pinion. take it to a good shop for alignment and have them check the frame.
