To the OP...

was that an original V8 car? Those front wheels look REAL tucked, almost more so than a 4 cyl even.

I do too. Tools, beer, drinks, a staging area for things to go into the car, etc. Hell, I've even used it as a resting place for my machine gun

+1 for the look of the saleen wing. I think it rocks. I had one on my GT and loved it. The lx tail lights are a must to pull it off and you have those.

Throw some shiny wheels on there and it's a done deal!

Wrong car on top of that. It looks an awful lot like a Capri front end on that thing?

I like the color of the car, but the visual effects are just not doing it for me.

The LX wing is the best, only one you can hop up on the hatch and sit on the wing... and for those wondering yes I have done this more times than I can count, just not with the new paint .

I used to do that too before paint. Hop on the LX wing...feet on the bumper. it was perfect.

Then i got a Saleen wing and now it was the table to put the drinks and food on.

Then i got the car painted...and nothing goes near it

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

Cobra>Saleen but someone stated if you like it, then good thats all that matters. I dont know why but the 1st thing that pops in my mind when I see a Saleen wing on the back is hitting it real hard from up top and making the car flip backwards. Almost like what we would do with spoons when we were younger, or even a pencial on the edge of the desk.
I know you cant actually do it but like I said, that always pops in my mind.

First thing I think of with most Saleen-winged Foxes is that they're a throwback to those "whale tails" they used to put on Porsche 911's in the late 70's/early 80's. On a Porsche, yes; on a Fox ... ehhhhh, it doesn't always work.

My attitude is that it worked great in the '80's and early 90's, but that was a time when spoilers and such on a street car were a new fad that was cool to see and interesting to look at. Now in 2008 almost every tom, dick and harry has one on their car....whether it be a Mustang, a sport compact or mom and dads rusted out 4-door sedan. The concept of wings and spoilers got beat to death over the last 15-years or so and now seeing it on an old car like that gives it a look that is dated and played out.

Just my opinion though, but you wouldn't walk abound in high top sneakers and acid washed jeans sporting a mullet because they were all the rage back in the day, would you? Alright...bad example, since a good portion of you guys still rock that trend.
