This is why i didn't buy a V6

I disagree about 3.8's sounding bad. That guy just had a crappy exhaust setup. Sounded like what Loudmouths or Magnapacks would do to a V-6, haha. But yeah, that one doesnt sound too good.

There is a guy with a Supercoupe Thunderbird (SC'd 3.8) and it honestly sounds better than most newer import 6 cylinders, and quite a few import and domestic 8 cylinders I have heard.

Its all about the exhaust setup. But that Tunderbird sound a-fricken-mazing...:jaw:

That one just sounds bad.

I've heard some 3.8's that i honestly thought were V8's until the owner popped the hood.

I've even heard a new 05 4.0L with exhaust that sounded like an 8

With the right setup, the V6 Mustang can sound good. Most people however just go to the muffler shop and say "Give me dual exhaust!"

v6's sound like complete ****... theres noway to make them sound good in my book. Either they sound like a stock v6 which is good compared to aftermarket exhaust that makes them sound like hondas. Yes, i know theres acouple out there that people say sound good, but they sound like ****. I would rather have a 96-98 stock GT than any v6 stang. ..

I disagree. My 94 V6 with dual Flowmasters sounds pretty good. Yes, it doesn't sound anything like the Bullitt, but it sounds good.

I like my big ass inline-6 in my Jeep with no cat and a Flowmaster.

Probaly my favorite sounding 6 aside from the 350z/G35, Supra, and Skyline.

But I know someone with a 2005 V-6 Mustang with a Borla axl back, and it sounds awesome for a 6 cylinder.
