hey guys, does anyone know what kind of rear end i have? i have a 2004 mustang GT. i thought i had a 8.8 inch "limited slip" is this right?

that should be... thats whats in my 97 and most of the newer ones ..i think your right but if not someone will know

all mustang gt's 99-04 came with 3.27 gears and limited slip.

all 86-04 v-8 mustangs came with the 8.8

get the 3.27's out of there and get some 4.10's you will like it.

yeah thats my plan. i have been doing some research on this form and other places, it seems like 4.10's are they way to go..... i think i am going to wait since i am going to get an xcal and just have the shop put the gears in and dyno tune her on the same day. saves me a lil $$ and 1 extra trip, ya know?
