Mike Johnson, Great Guy and Associate Editor at 5.0 Magazine was planning on shooting 1FUN TOY in Atco. We've been meaning to meet up now for a few years. He called early Sat morning to say he was able to get on a plane from Florida ( after Charlie had rip'd through) and that he could get to Atco.. I had spent Friday getting everything ready for the 8-9hr drive from here in Ontario. I jumped in the truck and headed down..

7hrs into the drive, and an hour away from the Atco Raceway, I get a call on my cell from Mike to turn around the event has been cancelled due to an approaching storm system. When I turned around and had to pay "again" at the first toll bridge coming back north I was DUNG $34 US for the first toll because they used my last toll ticket.. With that toll, and about 8 others, a day away from the business, meals, gas at over $210 Canadian alone and 16hrs on the road to get home at 1am, I'm beat, out about $600 and still no Feature Shoot in 5.0 magazine after years now of trying

you could say.... THAT SUCKED MORE!!

That's 2 consecutive possible feature shoot NMRA events I've had to turn around at ... Last year it was the NMRA Nationals at Maple Grove PA.

Hope everyone's weekend went better than mine and Dude's

Have a Good One! will spend the day washing the mud off the truck and trailer and unpacking 'frig' :notnice: :notnice:

Spence we will have a full Gallery up soon of the cars that did run that day. We did take close to 500 shots in the earl time trials. We kinda hoped for the best, but I know they tried hard to get this event in and it just wasn't going to happen. Sorry you didn't get a photoshoot in for your car cause that to anyone is wayy cool to have done.

Spenc,

I feel your pain. As you know, I was also scheduled for a photoshoot. I guess the upside to everything is that I made the Saturday show. considering the weather, it was a decent turnout. I came home with 'Long Haul' (go figure), 'Top 5 Mustang', runner up 'Best Daily Driver' and runner up 'Best Engine'. We ended up leaving Saturday night, as was recomended by Mike (5.0). So, I spent the rest of the day Sunday (after I woke up) playing with my boy and wishing I had one of those pocket bikes to burn arround on. :nice:

Cheers,
Jeff
P.S. better luck next time...for the both of us. And thatnks for posting the car in your gallery.

God Love Us All!

LOL! I think we should all head to Mexico on Pocket Bikes.. via Route 66 One giant convoy of Mini Rad Rides.. NEVER LOOK BACK

I doubt I'll make the Detroit show as Mike ( 5.0) suggested.. will wait to see if they shoot the car up here considering the $$ I've wasted trying to get to them.

Congrats on your successful day bottlefed92

you may notice there's new pricing on the Super Firewall Shield

Gixxer750 - what ta h*ll is galklery LOL!

If you mean Pocket Bike GALLERY - it should let you post away.. perhaps you got an error you didn't notice. The forums have a file size allowance and type that may be causing conflict. Try shrinking it down a bit. The allowance size is 80KB, larger than most online forums for pics

and we just want pics of pocket bikes, not mini dirt bikes etc.. has to be a Pocket Bike Bro.... If you need one to take KooL pics with we can hook you up L!

galklery is kind of like a galclery only different :p

Naw, when I hit the reply button it automaticly sent me to an error page. Didn't even get to atach a pic or anything.

Pocket bikes are definetly cool, we have a guy selling them down here too, but no one will shell out the cash. If I could get a few guys to go in on some it would be cool doing the parking lot racing at the mall after hours :D
