I blew a head gasket the other day so I think it is time to upgrade. I am going to replace the head gaskets but I am also going to do frpp shorty headers, Pi intake and cams, polish the intake and exhaust ports, and I reckon I am going to go to t&j perf. and get me a tune also. Hopefully I will see a pretty nice gain from all of this. I might get the dragon plenum and a 75mm tb while I am in there just to make sure she will haul butt when I get finished with it.

You've got some hours ahead of you, but you can put it back together better than new for sure. Did you see Kar Kraft's deal on used PI heads and Intake in the modular section? Might be worth considering since you have to take the heads off anyway and were going to get some polishing done.

Sorry to your head gasket. I've heard that the FRPP headers are only good for a couple rwhp, whereas the JBAs are good for 9 rwhp or so. BBK has new ones that will probably performas well as the JBAs, and I think they are the same price as the FRPPs - maybe you should consider them.

I think that I am going to go with a set of mac long tubes and a dr. gas x. They are selling them and the mac h pipe on ebay for like 300 bucks. I am wanting to get as fast as possible with non PI heads just to show that a non PI motor can run right along with a PI motor with no spray or boost.

I appreciate your drive, but why take such a hard road? It's gonna be a lot of time a money to get 40 more ponies out of yout NPI heads. I agree that while everything's apart, you could use the opportunity to buy a set of take-off PI's (with cams), them get them polished, and spank me in my BULLITT.

It's nice to see your taking advantage of a bad situation.

Good luck. Let us know which way you go and how it turns out.
