it seems that i cant get my car fixed by anyone. i've been havin some SES issues. i keep gettin a check engine light and getting a misfire code on a few cylinders ( usually 4 and 5 cylinder ) but sometimes its different cylinders. the car seems to lose power when it happens and it usually happens when i get the car around 70 - 75 mph. i took it to ford and they had it for 6 days and they couldnt figure out what it was doing. it still runs good when it isnt misfiring but when it misses and the ses light comes on it drives me crazy. has anyone had a problem like this :bang

well since you dont have really any mods. I would say its your tune. Try and take out the chip and see what happens.

What tune is in your Predator? The latest if R50A. I'd download it and update your Predator. If course, you need to go to Radio Shack and get the power supply, plug, and cable to update your Predator from your desktop.
About 40 bucks total.

After I downloaded R50A, I noticed a second tune on my Predator called
Ford HP Tune. I believe you can modify and install it also.

Easy test to see if it's tune triggering something is to restore your stock tune and run it a few days to see if you have the same problem.

i tried it with out the tune also and i still get the ses light. i will try to see if the other predator tune will help it

Did you remove the negative terminal for around 10 minutes?

My 3rd cylinder did this to me on my 02 GT the other week and made a weird noise when i went to 3rd... Took it to ford and they had to send the head off or somethin b/c it had locked up. Maybe this helps, also look at checkin ur spark plugs

have you checked you spark plugs and the coils? the SES light flashes when the misfire happens because the computer is warning you that you are damaging your cats.
