Where did you mount the solenoid and the coil ? Instead of running the wires thru the hole in the back of the strut tower, I have the main harness and the solenoid harness run thru the opening thats in the drivers side fender apron just to the right of the brake booster . It looks like all my plugs are in the right spot , I was wondering if anybody had run theres this way before or does this way make the main harness too short to reach the plugs on the passenger side ?
Thanks

I mounted the coil where the washer tank used to be. Basically, where the hole is in the fender apron, i was able to mount the coil there, with the harness side in the fender, so all you see is the coil wire side.

Which solenoid are you talking about? The starter? If so, that is mounted upside down in the fenderwell, there were a few wires i had to extend, but nothing major.

At first glance, I read "wires" as "wives"....

Sorry I can't help you with the "wires" question.

My solenoid is under the fender, behind the strut. I put my coil on the inside of the engine bay, just about where it was to begin with.

i put mine back in the stock location, with the wires coming out of the hole for the washer fluid tank. all the wires reach, dunno how well it will actually work though. im going to put a stock coil cover back on, so it should still look pretty clean when done.

Thanks for the responses and pics. I am going to go finish up this little project tonight I hope . I have decided to put the coil and solenoid in the engine bay mush like the way chuckman has his mounted.

Smoked ya - that is an amazing job!! and thanks for the inside the fender picture that will help me when I can't remember what plugs where tonight .
