Those w/ 65-66 cars w/ dashmount cd players

What did you guys do to re-enforce the mounting and make sure its stable in the dash?

with dash pad off I tacked a brace off the top of the metal part of the dash that dropped down. from that a usual stereo strap on the back. front side just used the bend down tabs from stereo. the dash is strong and will hold any stereo you attach to it (within reason

I used the factory support that ford provided for the radio. Bent it a little and attached it to the back.
